Is battery life affected?

It seems like my battery is draining faster than normal. For Traffic AudioAlerts, the system relies on location services and processes that calculate your location and alert zone on the device. These location services and processes may have an effect on battery life and system performance. Results may vary depending upon device, operating system, and carrier. Android users are encouraged to enable “Use wireless networks” in their Location and security settings.
To enable “Use Wireless Networks” on your cell phone, go to the phone’s settings, select “Location & Security” and select “Use Wireless Networks”

I am not moving in a car, yet I received a traffic Audio Alert. What should I do?

In some cases, we use network location, if available, which comes from the cell towers. Occasionally your phone will switch towers so it appears as if you are moving. If an Alert hits at the same time as your phone switches towers, the app thinks you’re moving and sends you an Alert.
To prevent this, use the “Mute Location” option to prevent Audio Traffic Alerts from reaching your phone if you are not moving. Within the app, select ‘Traffic Alert’. Touch your phone’s ‘Menu’ button and then select “Mute Location”. This location will no longer receive Audio Traffic Alerts. The Alerts will come in, you just won’t hear them. So, if you mute your office, you can still check to see if there are any traffic alerts before you leave for the day!

Will I receive spam alerts or information?

No. You will only receive AudioAlerts and information relating to subscribed services. In addition, AudioAlerts may occasionally contact you with information on new services and other user communication.
